Da Lat and Lam Dong in general are famous for farming, whether it is fruit, vegetables, coffee, or flowers. On this trip up to the mountainous region of Lam Dong, our focus was primarily strawberries, although we also looked for avocados as well. We met many different farmers and explored various fruit farms.

In Da Lat, there are many different varieties of strawberries, including American, New Zealand, Japanese, and much more. Different strawberries have their own unique flavor and aroma, though they all generally have a strawberry flavor. In our search for the best strawberries, we ended up picking at a farm that we found to have a great balance between quality and value.

In addition to strawberries, there are also many different types of avocados available in Lam Dong province too. The different varieties have a great variance in fat content, aroma, flavor, shape, and size. The avocados we decided to buy have a great aroma and nice level of fat which is great for making really luxurious and creamy avocado smoothies.
